On Monday, March 9, 2026, the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The ceremony took place at 10:30 a.m. in the Multi‑purpose Hall on the sixth floor of the DOT Central Office in Makati City. Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco and BCDA President and CEO Engineer Joshua Bingcang led the signing. The agreement aims to develop sports venues and events that will attract visitors and stimulate local economies.
