To commemorate the occasion, Kamuning Bakery Cafe will be distributing 70,000 free pandesal loaves. They will also offer other food items like cheese, sardines, hams, coffee, fruit jams, and juices. The bakery will also be sending free pandesal to orphanages throughout Metro Manila.

Kamuning Bakery Cafe owner Wilson Lee Flores is inspired by the Biblical story of the loaves and fishes. He aims to remind people that even small acts of sharing can make a significant difference. “This event reminds us that together, we can help combat hunger,” Flores said. Beyond World Pandesal Day, Kamuning Bakery Cafe has been actively involved in various civic endeavors. The bakery has hosted the Pandesal Forum. It has also celebrated World Poetry Day. Additionally, it has donated new public school buildings to disadvantaged rural regions in the Philippines. On October 11, 2024, the bakery will officially turn over a new school building. This building will be handed to Sinait Elementary School in Tarlac City.
World Pandesal Day has gained significant momentum since its start in 2015, receiving support from notable figures and institutions. The first celebration was launched by then-Senator Sonny Angara, GMA Network Inc. Chairman Felipe Gozon, actor Dingdong Dantes, and Wilson Lee Flores.
