The event also welcomed a special guest from the international stage. Maria Zhelyaskova, Miss Globe Ukraine 2026, attended the launch. She delivered a heartfelt address to the students.

“We celebrate Ukraine and its rich cultural heritage today,” Zhelyaskova shared.

The exhibition aims to build strong bonds between two distinct nations. It highlights people-to-people connections that transcend geographic borders. Visitors can view historical artifacts and traditional items at the venue.

A new academic resource was unveiled during the program. The embassy inaugurated a dedicated Ukrainian Bookshelf at the DLSU Library. Officials donated numerous volumes to enrich the university’s existing collection.

This new collection gives students and researchers direct access to vital materials. Readers can now study Ukrainian literature, history, and contemporary perspectives with ease. The book donation project encourages deep academic engagement. It provides learners with reliable sources to understand the Ukrainian people and their literary roots.

University leaders played a vital role in making the event possible. The embassy expressed sincere appreciation to De La Salle University Libraries for their hard work. Special thanks went to Dr. Anthony Chiu. He serves as the Vice President for External Relations and Internationalization at DLSU.

Officials praised Dr. Chiu and his team for their valuable support. Their partnership helped bring Ukraine’s history and heritage closer to the Filipino academic community.

Several international organizations also backed the cultural initiative. The embassy thanked the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies for its assistance. Gratitude was extended to the Ukrainian Institute for its continuous coordination. Organizers also acknowledged the “Watch Ukrainian!” Association for its vital contributions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine provided official backing for the entire roadshow.

This grand launch marks the start of a month-long celebration across the Philippines. Similar cultural events will take place in other universities nationwide. Organizers emphasize the enduring importance of international cultural exchange. Mutual understanding remains the primary goal of these academic partnerships.

The roadshow proves that friendship between Ukraine and the Philippines continues to grow stronger. Education and art serve as bridges for both societies.

Students who wish to view the exhibit may visit a specific location on campus. The display is open at The Learning Commons inside Henry Sy Hall. The exhibition will run until October 19, 2026. University members are encouraged to visit before the gallery closes.
