Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco led the opening ceremony with the hit of the gong. Secretary Frasco stated, “The Philippines is being recognized as a rising Muslim-friendly destination. This affirms this administration’s efforts to create a culturally sensitive and inclusive Philippine destination for global visitors, especially from Muslim-majority countries. We expect increased tourism, leading to more jobs for Filipinos.”
