The Pokémon Company has revealed exciting new details for the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A. A major paid DLC is set to launch this December. It will bring a new story. There will be powerful Pokémon and a mysterious new world to explore.
New DLC Arrives in December: The Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC will be released on December 10, 2025. It introduces a brand-new story. Mysterious distortions are appearing across Lumiose City. A new video showcasing the DLC is now on the official Pokémon YouTube channel.
Explore Hyperspace Lumiose: Players will meet a new character, Ansha, and the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa. Hoopa can use its power to open portals into Hyperspace Lumiose, a strange alternate version of the city. This dimension is home to rare Pokémon. These Pokémon can even have “hyperspace levels” that push them beyond the normal Lv. 100 limit.
Meet New Allies: To solve the mystery, players will work with new friends. Ansha is a mysterious girl and a skilled donut chef whose treats can awaken Hoopa’s power. Korrina, the Mega Evolution guru, will also return to assist players in their investigation.
Discover New Mega Evolutions: The update will introduce newly discovered Mega-Evolved Pokémon.
Mega Chimecho: The Wind Chime Pokémon becomes a Psychic/Steel-type.
Mega Baxcalibur: The Ice Dragon Pokémon remains a Dragon/Ice-type. Its Mega Stone can be earned as a reward from online Ranked Battles in the Z-A Battle Club.
Free Diancie Event: Starting November 6, 2025, players can join a free side mission. The mission is called “Shine Bright like a Gemstone.” Players can get a Diancite stone via Mystery Gift. Completing the mission allows them to catch the Mythical Pokémon Diancie. This mission is available after finishing the main story.
Nintendo Switch 2 Edition: A special version of the game. Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be released.
