
Retired Col. Ariel Querubin received support from almost 2000 military and police personnel. He aims to run for a Senate seat in the 2025 mid-term election. On July 8, 2024, former Chiefs of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) attended the event. Additionally, former chiefs from the Philippine National Police (PNP) joined. They came from various administrations. They officially endorsed Querubin’s candidacy for the Senate at the Club Filipino. Querubin, the most decorated soldier in Philippine history, is recognized for his extraordinary courage and dedication to the country. His decorated military career shows his commitment to public service. This makes him a capable candidate for bridging diverse political perspectives. He also fosters unity.

During the event, Querubin acknowledged the diverse political journeys of those attending. He reflected on key events like Martial Law and the EDSA revolutions. He also considered various coups and the presidencies from Marcos to Marcos Jr. They stood on different sides in pivotal moments of the nation’s history. Still, they did not gather as allies of political factions. Querubin emphasized this point strongly. Instead, they united as brothers in arms in their service to the Philippines.
Querubin highlighted the urgent need to handle corruption, poverty, and inflation if he wins the Senate seat in 2025. He also stressed the importance of securing the country’s sovereignty against internal and external threats. Querubin stated that the Philippines faces critical challenges. These include threats to sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea. There are also social issues brought about by illegal POGOs. Additionally, he underscored the vital need for the modernization of the military to uphold the nation’s sovereignty. Querubin also spoke about the need to strengthen the Filipino spirit of patriotism. He envisions a nation of heroes. These heroes are ready to fight for the Filipino people against any oppressor.
