South Korean singer-songwriter and actor Seo In Guk is now the Philippine’s Celebrity Tourism Ambassador for Korea. The Department of Tourism (DOT) held a ceremony on February 21, 2025, at the DOT office in Makati City. Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco led the event. She officially appointed Seo In Guk through a Memorandum of Understanding.
Seo In Guk expressed his enthusiasm for the role. He shared fond memories of his past visit to Cebu. He especially loved “lechon,” the Filipino roast pig. He even recalled hearing and enjoying Filipino music.
Filipino fans adore Seo In Guk for his roles in popular movies. These include films like “No Breathing” and “Pipeline”. His dramas such as “Doom at Your Service” also have a huge following.
Fans are also looking forward to his upcoming Netflix film, “Boyfriend on Demand.” A film that he will co-star Black Pink’s singer Jisoo.
The DOT is confident that Seo In Guk’s ambassadorship will boost Philippine tourism in South Korea. His influence and love for the Philippines will encourage more Koreans to visit.
