The fashion show “Two Nations, One Fashion” celebrated the friendship of two Asian nations. The Philippines and Indonesia friends for 75 years. A threaded bond that shows the similarities and uniqueness of each country.
Two fashion designers interpreted this bond on the runway at Whitespace in Makati City. Textile and fashion designer Merdi Sihombing presented Indonesia’s modern culture with the flying cloth. Filipino fashion designer Renee Salud shows the multicultural of the Philippines using Indonesian woven textiles.
The stylish pieces from two talented fashion designers are also pushing it as a sustainable fashion. All we can be sure of is that these pieces are handcrafted by Indonesian hands from natural materials. Despite that, the audience is amazed at the hundred or more pieces that walked the runway.
