The Women Lead Cybersecurity Brunch

On Women’s Month, Israel’s ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Dana Kursh, hosted the InnovateHer: Israel‑Philippines Cybersecurity Brunch at her residence. The event gathered women leaders from technology, cybersecurity, business, medicine and media. It was organized by the Israel Economic and Trade Mission, the Philippine Chief Information Officer Association and the Women in Security Alliance Philippines.

Ambassador Kursh opened the brunch with a strong statement. “Today is about partnership, about creating a space where women leaders can openly share knowledge, insights, and opportunities. Because alongside expertise, access to strong professional networks is essential for advancing in this field.” She added that the field’s gender gap stems from perception and access, not ability, and called initiatives like InnovateHer vital.

Keynote speakers included Chiqui Escareal‑Go, who discussed leadership and innovation, and Liat Azulay of Amdocs, who recounted her journey as a female tech leader. Economic Counsellor Ofek Venecianer presented Israel’s cybersecurity ecosystem and noted the sector’s importance to the bilateral partnership.

Israeli firms Amdocs, Check Point Software Technologies with local partner IPV Network, and DeviceTotal displayed their solutions. Dr. Carmit Yadin of DeviceTotal shared insights as a founder and innovator. The embassy highlighted Israel’s global cyber strength, citing more than 550 cyber companies and $14 billion in annual exports.

Through InnovateHer, the Israeli embassy reaffirmed its support for women in technology, its commitment to the Israel‑Philippines partnership, and its push for innovation in cybersecurity.
