ManilART, the country’s national art fair, is set to redefine the art experience for its 17th edition. The fair takes place from October 15–19, 2025, at the SMX Aura Convention Center. It returns with the theme “Across Forms, Beyond Borders.” For the first time in its history, ManilART will present a single masterpiece. This piece is revolutionary. It blends gastronomy, fashion, and visual art. This unique presentation is designed to highlight Filipino culture in a way that lets you experience it fully. It is not just something to see. It is an exploration of Filipino heritage through a masterpiece that engages the human senses of taste, smell, and touch.

This groundbreaking approach moves art beyond the canvas. It invites visitors into a world where creativity is a multi-sensory journey. A central feature is the partnership with Coco Kusina, a Philippine Coconut Kitchen dedicated to heritage cuisine. The celebrated Chef Riza leads this collaboration. She is often called “Ninang Riza” because of her nurturing approach to culinary tradition. This collaboration will transform food into a form of art. Dishes will celebrate local ingredients, with the versatile coconut at the heart of the gastronomy experience. Imagine tasting a symphony of flavors from a piece of pottery. The pottery itself is a work of art. Picture enjoying drinks whose colors and textures mirror the patterns of a traditional Filipino textile. This is art that tells a story of our history. It speaks of our culture and our traditions. It connects the plate to the palette and the palate.
The fair will feature a diverse array of works from the country’s leading galleries. It will continue its mission to showcase the breadth of Philippine artistic talent.

As the banner event for Museums and Galleries Month in October, ManilART’s influence extends far beyond its venue. The fair strengthens its commitment to cultural discourse with a series of talks, panels, and workshops. This year, ManilART also partners with the inaugural San Pablo Art Circuit (SaPAC). This initiative showcases the rich heritage of San Pablo City. It does so through ten artistic venues. This expansion demonstrates the “Beyond Borders” aspect of the theme. It connects Metro Manila’s art scene with regional creative hubs. Moreover, it celebrates the diverse expressions of Filipino artistry across the nation.
Ultimately, ManilART 2025 is more than just an art fair; it is a vibrant celebration of Filipino identity. It breaks down the walls between disciplines. This shows that a painting, a garment, and a meal can all tell the same powerful story of our culture. It invites you to not just see Filipino art. You are encouraged to taste it and feel it. You will fully experience its living, breathing spirit in a way never before attempted.
