Lithuanian Delegation Visits Cavite to Strengthen Workforce Partnership and Inspect Filipino Training Standards
In a move to deepen international labor cooperation, a high-level delegation from the Republic of Lithuania recently visited the Magsaysay Learning Group’s training facilities in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
The July 25 visit brought together key figures from the Lithuanian government, the Philippine Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and private sector partners to witness firsthand how Filipino professionals are prepared for global employment.
Heading the visiting delegation was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, His Excellency Kęstutis Budrys. He was joined by DMW Undersecretary for Foreign Employment and Welfare Services Felicitas Q. Bay and TESDA Region IV-A Regional Director Engr. Jovencio M. Ferrer Jr.
They were welcomed by Magsaysay People Resources Corporation (MPRC) President Marlon R. Roño, along with executives from Magsaysay Global Services, Inc. and its Lithuanian partners, RNDV Holding and INTORA.
A Complete Ecosystem for Workforce Development
The visit served as a platform to highlight a robust, multi-sectoral collaboration between government bodies, private industry, and training institutions. During the briefing, representatives from Magsaysay, RNDV Holding, INTORA, and TESDA discussed how their respective organizations align to deliver comprehensive technical training and competency-based education.
This cooperative model ensures that Filipino workers not only meet international standards but are also equipped with the specialized, industry-relevant competencies demanded by the European market.
In his welcome remarks, MPRC President Marlon R. Roño emphasized Magsaysay’s expanding role in bridging the gap between domestic talent and the growing global demand for skilled professionals.
Since 2024, the strategic partnership among Magsaysay, RNDV Holding, and INTORA has actively addressed labor requirements across various industries in Lithuania. Roño noted that the ongoing collaboration reflects a shared dedication to expanding secure, high-quality employment opportunities for Filipino skilled workers abroad while supporting Lithuania’s economic and industrial needs.
Firsthand Look at Technical Training
A central feature of the day’s agenda was a guided tour of the Magsaysay Institute of Shipping training grounds in Dasmariñas. Minister Budrys and the accompanying delegation observed live training sessions and assessment programs in high-demand technical fields, including scaffolding, welding, and electrical works.
The delegates interacted directly with trainees currently undergoing preparatory programs designed to ready them for overseas assignments in Lithuania through RNDV Holding and INTORA.
The visit concluded with renewed commitments from both Philippine and Lithuanian stakeholders to maintain open channels of cooperation. By combining Lithuania’s market opportunities with the Philippines’ world-class training infrastructure and labor force, the partnership aims to set a benchmark for ethical recruitment, high-standard skills development, and enduring international workforce collaboration.
