HABI Opens Applications for 16th Likhang HABI Market Fair

HABI: The Philippine Textile Council is now accepting applications from new vendors for the 16th Likhang HABI Market Fair. The event will take place on October 9–11, 2026. It will be held at SPACE One Ayala in Makati City.

The annual fair promotes Philippine handwoven textiles. It supports handcrafted products. The event provides a platform for artisans, designers, and social enterprises. It helps them reach a wider market.

The Likhang Habi Market Fair (LHMF) has celebrated Philippine textile heritage for over a decade. It highlights craftsmanship and design innovation. The fair brings together a diverse community of weavers and makers. These creators transform indigenous fibers into products that reflect Filipino culture.

HABI is currently seeking applicants from various groups. This includes cooperatives, family businesses, and small to medium-scale enterprises. Applicants must feature Philippine natural fibers. Eligible products include piña, abaca, and locally grown cotton. The fair also features inabel and other traditional fabrics.

The council prioritizes quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design. It also values sustainability. Applicants should show respect for the country’s weaving traditions.

Through the years, HABI has championed market exposure for local brands. Many participants started as grassroots enterprises. They have since expanded into established businesses. Some have even entered international markets. The fair connects artisans directly with consumers and designers. It has helped strengthen appreciation for locally made goods.

The 16th edition aims to increase the diversity of the event. HABI welcomes new exhibitors from across the Philippines. This includes emerging labels and artisan collectives.

“The LHMF aims to enrich the diversity of the fair by welcoming new exhibitors from across the Philippines,” the organization stated.

HABI also maintains a dedicated booth for smaller producers. This space supports weaving communities that lack the resources for an independent booth.

“Through this shared exhibition space, HABI provides sponsored market exposure, giving talented artisans and grassroots producers the opportunity to present their work to buyers, collectors, designers, and the general public,” organizers said.

This initiative makes the fair an inclusive platform. It celebrates craftsmanship regardless of an enterprise’s size.

The LHMF serves as more than a marketplace. It is a venue for sharing stories of heritage and creativity.

“It is a unique opportunity for makers to showcase their work, build valuable partnerships, and connect with an audience that values authenticity, sustainability, and Filipino craftsmanship,” HABI added.
