Manila residents can now read Ateneo de Manila University books. The Manila City Library recently added a large collection to its shelves. These books come from the Ateneo Press.
The collection includes fiction and poetry. It also features academic research journals. This helps more people get access to scholarly work. Ateneo wants to share their literature beyond its campus. The public can now read these works for free.

The first donation includes nearly 100 copies of the journals. These journals cover many subjects. Topics range from culture to sustainability. Featured titles include Perspectives in the Arts and Humanities Asia. Another title is Budhi: A Journal of Ideas of Culture. The library also received Social Transformations and Philippine Studies.
These journals show research on local and global levels. They offer value to students and general readers. The university wants to share research with everyone. Often, such work stays within academic circles.
The Manila City Library acts as a shared space. It connects communities to knowledge. This partnership promotes informed dialogue.
Ateneo and the library support inclusive education. They want to break down learning barriers. This partnership ensures learning opportunities for all.
Interested parties can email Alexandra Jill Dela Cruz for partnerships. Her email is ardelacruz@ateneo.edu. She is the Journals Assistant.
