The Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) is seeking nominations. They are calling for entries for the 13th Gawad Kaligtasan at Kalusugan (GKK). This prestigious award recognizes companies and individuals who have implemented exceptional occupational safety and health (OSH) programs.

The GKK is open to private companies, government agencies, micro-enterprises, and individuals working in the informal sector. The competition has two tiers: regional and national. Winners at the regional level will automatically advance to the national level.
The deadline for submitting nominations is April 30, 2024.
This year’s GKK is particularly significant as it highlights the importance of workplace safety and health in the post-pandemic world. The OSHC wants to know how companies of all sizes have incorporated these learning into their OSH programs. This includes micro-enterprises and those in the informal sector.
The GKK is a testament to the DOLE’s commitment to promoting safe and healthy workplaces for all Filipino workers.
