Fashion Taking Form Through Dance

When the past is pulled back to the present, the Intramuros Administration (IA) and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) presented ANYO (Filipino of form). A fashion show and cultural dance that showcases traditional Filipino attire. Bringing back the baro’t saya, barong, and indigenous wear as they are worn in cultural dance. Scrap fabrics and traditional materials were used in the creation of the clothes.

Fashion designer Ping Panlilio seeks to embrace sustainable fashion and Filipino tradition as the clothes take form. Each piece of clothing correlates to the Filipino dance performed to the audience. Where sustainable fashion celebrates Filipino tradition. Thus, fashion shows motion through the superb performance of the Philippine Baranggay Folk Dance Troupe. Anyo was performed at the Centro de Turismo Intramuros with the direction of Ronnie Del Barrio on April 17, 2026.
