House in Cainta Caught On Fire

Residents scramble for safety after a fire gutted a residential house along St. Martin Street in St. Andrew Subdivision, Barangay San Andres, Cainta, Rizal.

The fire was reported at 10:30 a.m., raised to first alarm at 10:37 a.m., and declared under control by 10:45 a.m.

According to FO3 Carl Ortiz of the Cainta Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), no injuries were reported. The blaze was quickly contained through the joint efforts of the Cainta BFP and barangay fire and rescue brigades from nearby areas.


As of press time, arson investigators have yet to release an official report on the cause of the fire and the extent of property damage.

Ortiz reminded the public to remain vigilant, especially during the hot summer months, and to regularly check old appliances and faulty wiring, which are common causes of fire incidents.
