Megaworld Launches ‘TARA!’ Campaign for Local Travelers

Megaworld Hotels & Resorts is encouraging Filipinos to explore their own country. The company launched the “TARA! (Travel Away & Reignite Adventure)” campaign this week. The initiative aims to make domestic travel more affordable in the Philippines and discover more of our cultural heritage.

“For many Filipinos, travel has become more than just a vacation,” said Loleth So, Group Commercial Director of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts. “It is an opportunity to reconnect with loved ones, discover new places, and create lasting memories.”

So added, “Through Megaworld Hotels & Resorts’ TARA! campaign, we hope to make these experiences more attainable while encouraging locals to travel with more intention to the many destinations our country has to offer.”

The promotion runs from June 17 to November 29, 2026. Guests can book stays through November 30, 2026. Participating hotels are offering room rates starting at Php 3,800.

Several properties are participating in the program. Belmont Hotel Manila, Savoy Hotel Manila, Grand Westside Hotel, Kingsford Hotel Manila, Richmond Hotel Iloilo, Belmont Hotel Iloilo, and Mercure Mactan Cebu are offering room-only accommodations.

Other hotels provide packages that include breakfast. These include Hotel Lucky Chinatown, Chancellor Hotel Boracay, Belmont Hotel Boracay, Savoy Hotel Boracay, Richmonde Hotel Ortigas, and Savoy Hotel Mactan. Premium offerings are available at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel and Twin Lakes Hotel.

The campaign covers diverse destinations across the Philippines. Travelers can visit Boracay for white-sand beaches and water sports. In Cebu, guests can explore local culinary sites and beaches.

Urban travelers can choose to stay in Manila. Activities include shopping and visiting heritage sites in Binondo, the world’s oldest Chinatown. Iloilo is also featured, highlighting the region’s gastronomy and historic churches.

For those wanting a quiet escape, the Twin Lakes Hotel in Batangas offers mountain views and cool weather. Guests can enjoy nature walks near Taal Lake.

Interested guests can book through the property website using the code TARAMHR. Reservations must be made at least 14 days before the check-in date. All bookings require prepayment. They are non-refundable, non-cancellable, and non-amendable.

The offer is available to Filipino residents who present a valid government-issued ID. Foreign guests with a valid Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card (ACR I-Card) may also participate. Standard blackout dates apply during periods of high demand.
