Airport Hotel Promotes Mindful Travel

Savoy Hotel Manila is changing the summer travel experience. The hotel now focuses on purpose and stillness rather than escape.

Sustainability is a key part of every guest’s stay. Guests receive messages about eco-friendly choices before they arrive. A QR code on hotel key cards explains the property’s sustainability efforts. Live plants are placed throughout the hotel to help guests feel connected to nature.

These efforts have transformed the way guests travel. The “Mindful Stays, Meaningful Impact” package became a top offer after its January 15, 2026, launch. Guests are now more aware of their environmental impact.

The hotel also runs the “Farm On Program.” Staff members grow vegetables and herbs in vertical and rooftop gardens. This program has produced over 400 kilos of fresh food. The hotel uses some produce in its kitchen. It donates the rest to local communities.

General Manager Den Navarro praised the team for their hard work.

“We are deeply grateful to our associates for their active participation in the Farm On Program and our sustainability initiatives,” Navarro said.

He added, “This allows them to build a deeper connection not only to their roles, but to a greater purpose—understanding that even the simplest actions can create a meaningful and lasting impact, not only for our Guests, but also for our partners who share our values and the communities we serve.”

The hotel recently donated 16 kilos of produce to the Pangarap Foundation on Earth Day. This food went to the Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) Philippines feeding program.

Staff also held an “Earth Day Mindful Walk” in the Newport City township. This event encouraged guests and associates to prioritize their well-being. Savoy Hotel Manila continues to promote mindful living for all its visitors.
